HELPFUL HINTS
BLOCKING OPTION If you want to make sure that no unwanted international calls are charged to your Extra Services account, you can choose to block international calling from your VoiceWing phone. To block international calls from your VoiceWing phone: Go to your Personal Account Manager of the line you want to block international calls and select the Feature Manager icon or link. Select the International Call Block feature and simply click ON or OFF. AUTOMATICALLY BLOCKED NUMBERS All 0, 00, 300, 500, 700, 900, 976 and 10-10-XXX calls are automatically blocked and cannot be placed from any VoiceWing phone. Certain countries may also be blocked from receiving calls from VoiceWing. Check the International Rates section on your Personal Account Manager for more details. An automatic reminder message will be played on your VoiceWing phone if any calls to blocked numbers are attempted. COLLECT CALLS Your VoiceWing telephone cannot place or accept collect calls. BACKUP PHONE NUMBER VoiceWing allows you to set up and save a contact phone number (perhaps your cell phone or work number) where your calls can be automatically forwarded in the event of a power outage or if your broadband connection fails. There are two ways to set up a Backup Number. To set up one using your VoiceWing phone, simply follow the instructions below. To set up a Backup Number online using your Personal Account Manager, see the "Backup Phone Number" section. To set up a Backup Number:
An automatic message will be played confirming that your Backup Number has been saved. Your Backup Number will be stored on your VoiceWing phone and automatically activated only if there is a power outage or if your broadband connection fails. To cancel your Backup Number:
An automatic message will be played confirming that your Backup Number has been cancelled. NOTE: Direct Call Forwarding will temporarily override the calls being forwarded to your Backup Number. (See Direct Call Forwarding in this User Guide.) |
